Context (carried forward from 2025)

Approximately nobody was using MyTake.org day to day.
We did not see a viable path to build interest.
If we shut down, the mytake.org domain could be grabbed by scammers/spammers.
We tried to find an org to accept the donation, but never got a response after a few rounds of trying different places.

Around October 2025, we were issued a new debit card, but our various service subscriptions weren’t updated to the new card number.
As a result, the services hosting our website shut it down and deleted some of our data.
This wasn’t noticed until ~February 2026. Ned was able to recover the mailing address and obtain backups of the board minutes, videos, and website.
We have everything we need to bring the website back online, but it would take a few days of work.
Silver lining: the mytake.org domain has been dead for months, which makes it less useful to scammers — much safer.

The board agrees this has entered the “dangerous neglect” zone. We will shut down MyTake.org, Inc.

Ned will finish the 2025 filings (started today), due Friday.
The dormant mytake.org domain will be listed for auction at Afternic (the GoDaddy auction site) with a $500 minimum.
When the domain sells, or by September 1, 2026 — whichever is first — Ned will file the formal dissolution paperwork and donate the remaining checking account balance to one of the charities we previously attempted to donate to.
Final 2026 tax return will be filed by May 2027.
All materials will be archived so the site could be resurrected in the future if anyone wanted to do so.
